It’s great to have the latest cell phone more so for the features that provide the convenience of downloading ringtones.  Ringtones add that extra something to your cell phone that makes it unique.  You can have unique ringtones for different callers, which enables you to not only hear to something you like when you get a call, but also know who the caller is without looking at the number.

Several ringtone download sites have cropped up over the internet, to cater to the huge demand.  However, you need to exercise caution with sites that don’t let you view their ringtone selection before joining, because some of them may have a limited ringtone selection and that’s not what you want. 

Other issues with the ringtone download sites is that they may not be offering the ringtone formats that are compatible with your cell phone, like the Sprint cell phones that can only work with the Sprint format.  But you will not have that problem with the latest cell phones as they allow users to download a MP3 format ringtone, which is similar to the one used on iPod or a CD.  

Cell phones have limited memory but the latest phones provide the facility of inserting a mini SD storage chip, which transforms your cell phone into a storage monster allowing hundreds of ringtones to be used.

There are several ways you can download the ringtones onto your computer, based on the model and the make of your cell phone.  Some cell phones allow receiving ringtones in the form of text messages, while the newer models allow direct downloads from the internet with the use of a cable (usually provided by all the latest cell phone manufacturers.)  All you need to do is, connect the cable, enter your ID and download ringtones.
